Avoid Specifics

During the consultation process, communication with the client is vital. This is the step in the hair color process where expectations will be made. While haircolor has progressed a lot over the last several decades, it is still not an exact science and there will be small differences in the haircolor application based on your client’s hair porosity, condition, and hair formation.

Because of these differences in hair type from one client to the next. Its difficult for any one hairstylist or salon to promise an exact color. Explain to your client the nuances of the haircolor process and educate them on the small variation they may experience in the specific haircolor. A client that is aware of these variables will have more reasonable expectations going into the treatment and will likely be happier after the treatment.
