Color Concentrates are exceptionally well formulated for color correction
When approached with a color-correction challenge, mix the Color Concentrate with one of the Organic Color Systems colors from the natural color series (1N – 10N). Make sure that the color selected from the natural series is the correct depth for your target shade. So, for example, to correct a base 8 color, select 7N from Organic Color Systems natural color series and mix with the desired Color Concentrate.
In mixing the color and the Color Concentrate, a good guideline is to mix 50 ml of color and 10 ml of Color Concentrate (5 parts color 1 part Color Concentrate) but the concentration of Color Concentrate can be increased up to 50% of the formula based on the intensity you want to achieve in the target tone. Always mix an equal amount of activator to the total amount of color mix. So, in the previous example, you would mix in 60 ml of activator.
Color Concentrates differ from Color Intensifiers because Color Concentrates are oxidative dyes where as Color Intensifiers are direct semi-permanent dyes. They are uniquely formulated with oxidative pigments that process just like permanent color, last as long as permanent hair color, and help intensify, improve or correct the tone value.
Color Concentrates can be mixed directly into your formulas for intense and vivid tone results, and can be used up to 50% of the total formula. Color Concentrates can also be used alone on dark, blonde or pre-lightened hair to create the most brilliant fashion trend shades.
